What is the Visa Waiver Program?

The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) is a program set up by the U.S. Department of State to facilitate the screening of travelers to the U.S. and strengthen security at U.S. borders. It allows nationals of member countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business without obtaining a visa under certain ESTA eligibility conditions.
